Role Description

This is a full-time, predominately, on-site position for an Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience. This position is in the field of health law and medical malpractice defense. The ideal candidate will have some experience in these fields. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for assisting with various legal matters, including drafting motions, responding to discovery, conducting legal research, responding to licensing board complaints, responding to Medicare and Medicaid appeals, OIG Investigations, DOJ investigations, reviewing contracts, drafting contracts, and representing clients in court and before health care licensing boards. The ideal candidate will work in a collaborative team environment and will demonstrate skills in legal writing, oral advocacy, and legal research.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Texas
• Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and appearing in court
• Knowledge of state court procedures and rules
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Committed to providing exceptional client service
• Experience in health law or medical malpractice is a plus
