General Description

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for assisting Restaurant Managers in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. This individual will assist in supporting, coaching and directing the front-of-house restaurant team to ensure that each team member meets and exceeds standards and achieves daily goals.

The Restaurant Supervisor must consistently maintain the highest possible standards of guest service, food and beverage quality, safety, and financial responsibility. When standards are not met, this individual must be able to hold team members accountable and take action to correct the situation.

The Restaurant Supervisor must be able to effectively delegate daily responsibilities, maximize productivity, and build strong relationships with team members, vendors and guests. In addition, this individual must ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal food safety and occupational safety guidelines.

In order to be successful, a Restaurant Supervisor must possess a thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations, business leadership and food safety regulations.

Work Duties

  • Provide leadership support for the front-of-house team, which may include opening or closing shifts as well as leading daily front-of-house restaurant operations
  • Assist in supporting, directing and coaching the front-of-house restaurant team
  • Provide leadership guidance and assistance at the Point-of-Sale systems as needed
  • Assist with guest satisfaction checks and provide guest recovery as needed
  • Respond to and resolve guest issues quickly and effectively
  • Ensure high standards of customer service are met at all times
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety within the restaurant are met
  • Ensure food safety regulations and procedures are followed at all times
  • Ensure all state and federal alcohol service guidelines are followed at all times
  • Assist in the training and development of front-of-house team members
  • Assist in the scheduling of the front-of-house team as necessary.
  • Assist with coaching and counseling front-of-house team members as necessary
  • Recognize team members for high achievement
  • Delegate responsibilities to team members as appropriate
  • Consistently communicate all necessary information to the restaurant team
  • Work closely with all other leaders and team members and display good teamwork
  • Follow the Disney 5-Keys Basics, Service Basics and Company Guidelines at all times
  • All other tasks as assigned
