About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director of Business and Operations to join their team. The successful candidate will be a seasoned organizational leader with a strong belief in the mission of advancing equity through education. They will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of functions, including HR, operations, business, and administrative tasks, and will work closely with the Executive Director and senior leaders to support organizational priorities and improve systems. This role requires an exceptional communicator, a skilled relationship builder, and an individual with a deep understanding of school operations and a vision of operational excellence.Key responsibilities for the Managing Director of Business and Operations include organizational and team leadership, managing HR policies and processes, leading business administration functions, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (MBA/MPA or degree in business administration preferred), at least 7 years of professional experience, and a proven track record in a similar leadership role. They should be adept at data analysis, project management, and have advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets. Experience in finance and budget management is also preferred. The role demands a high degree of personal responsibility, the ability to manage a high volume of work, and a commitment to working in a diverse and inclusive environment.
