Description

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) will:

* Utilize the nursing process in the delivery of patient care in their unit on a designated shift.

* Use written, verbal and communication skills effectively and considerately.

* Promote compassionate, efficient, safe, cost-effective, and quality patient care.

* Incorporate teaching principles into practice.

* Demonstrate the minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities for age-specific populations.

Floating to other departments when there is low census may be required.

Requirements

* Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing (preferred)

* Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Vermont

* One (1) year of basic medical-surgical nursing experience

* Endoscopy experience

* Sedation Analgesia competency

* SGNA Endoscope Reprocessing competency

* Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
