Spring Oak Tri-Cities is looking for a Dietary Director for our Assisted Living. The food service department includes overseeing food production and service while ensuring all aspects of the operations adhere to budgetary guidelines while maintaining, or exceeding hospitality and service standards.

Location: 550 Flank Road, Petersburg VA 23805

Schedule: Full Time Monday-Friday

Pay: Range From $40,000-$45,000 Salary, Bi-Weekly Pay cycle

General Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Responsible for inventory control and product orders.

-Planning of staff schedules for food preparation, serving, and clean up.

-Ensure that a daily preparation plan is reviewed with the prep staff each day, at least one day in advance.

-Supervise and participate in food preparation for meals.

-Plan and provide catering services within the community.

-Ensure proper maintenance of equipment in cooperation with the Executive Director.

-Ensure that the dining area is set and maintained according to procedures.

-Assist in recruitment, orientation, and training of Food and Beverage Services Associates.

-Solicit feedback from residents concerning food preferences and menu satisfaction.

-Ensure kitchen's compliance with all local, state and federal standards.

-Maintain current local, state, and federal license to operate commercial kitchen, if applicable.

-Attend to other duties as requested by the Executive Director.

Job Requirements include and are not limited to:

-Minimum of two years cooking experience or culinary school and one year of management experience in a kitchen setting

-Quality catering and dining presentation experience preferred.

-Ability to communicate effectively and delegate tasks.

-Aware of the principles of sanitation and safety in food and equipment handling.

-Adheres to universal precautions and all infection control guidelines.

-Provide food service that meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
