Spring Hills Communities is Hiring an Assistant Director of Memory Care Near Lake, FL

Position Summary: Assist the Director of Resident Care with the coordination and management of the Nursing program, enabling residents to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. This position reports to the Director of Resident Care and provides supervision to the caregiver and nursing staff as delegated.

Essential Functions:

  • Attends work as scheduled and follows community’s call-off procedures.
  • Supports company’s programs and utilizes systems in the delivery of care to residents.
  • Assists in overseeing the delivery of care to residents to ensure that emotional, physical, psychological and safety needs are met through all program services and activities.
  • Assist in conducting residents’ evaluations according to State regulations and company standards and reports any changes to Supervisor.
  • Assist in entering resident evaluationsinto companysoftware system as designated by Director of Resident Care.
  • Assists in the coordination of care conferences with residents/families.
  • Ensures work is performed in accordiance with company compliance and state regulations

§Assistsin hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining and terminating departmental associates in accordance with Spring Hills, LLC Human Resources Policies.

  • Assist in coordination of appropriate staff schedules to ensure proper coverage.
  • Ensures accidents/incident reports are completed per company standards and State regulations reports descrepencies to Director of Resident Care.
  • Maintains residents’ confidentiality at all times.
  • Responsible for oversight of the Spring Cottage Program in collaboration with SC Wellness nurse.
  • Assists in maintaining the standards of the Spring Cottage Enviroment and Program.
  • Understands and can demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
  • Understands and appropriately utilizes company systems and tools in carrying out functions.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
  • Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures of Spring Hills, LLC.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education: An associate degree; and or 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid LPNor RN nursing license for the state practiced in.A valid Registered Nursing license if practicing in the state of New Jersey.A background in Dementia isrequired.
