Job Description

Sprecher Brewing Company is hiring employees to work in our warehouses and production facilities in multiple capacities. These employees will be required to pack, sort, and stack a variety of our products to meet customer and business needs in an efficient and safe way. Warehouse Packers will have the opportunity to be cross trained on the production lines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, repacking and stacking for customer shipments.
• Load and unload product from trucks or containers.
• Break down and separate inbound or outbound shipments.
• Move products to storage areas with proper equipment and properly stack and store the inventory.
• Help the department in many different roles and areas, take on responsibilities and learn positions and equipment.
• Follow directions and perform all work assigned from supervisors and managers, be proactive and helpful
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Keep department clean of trash, loose debris, and dirt, sweep and mop job areas throughout the day
• Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and any/all established processes, whether established by a manager, by the company or by law
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Skills and Qualifications

• Some experience, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing facility or similar warehouse environment. Special consideration for experience in a bottling/canning manufacturing facility.
• Understanding of food safety, workplace safety, and food quality standards is strongly preferred.
• Team player able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Self-directed, personally motivated to succeed.
• High degree of integrity and respectful to co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Excellent attendance and performance track record.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, while focusing on meeting or exceeding expectations
• Must be at least 18 years old

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time on concrete floors and ability to continuously be active including but not limited to: walking, stooping, bending, reaching and crouching.
• Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds consistently throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally 75 lbs.
• Ability to work in variable temperatures.
