Job Summary

This role is responsible for analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine and maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial activities within the organization.

Essential Job Functions

• Timely processing of vendor invoices and processing of checks, ACH and wire payments.
• Manage supplier invoices and apply to ERP receipts from integrated payables system to prepare them for payment.
• Reconcile purchasing discrepancies; interact directly with vendors and internal customers to resolve shortages, overages and price discrepancies.
• Partner with Quality to ensure discrepant material is charged back to supplier account.
• Administer the travel and expense management program to ensure necessary approvals are met and credit card charges are posted to the GL in a timely manner.
• Assist the finance department with A/P, A/R, expense reports, credit card reconciliation, etc.
• Post customer payments by recording cash, checks and credit card transactions.
• Collaborate with Customer Service team to resolve aged receivables.
• Maintain the fixed asset base and record additions, disposals and depreciation to the general ledger.
• Perform analysis related to fixed assets when requested.
• Support timely monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals and overall maintenance of GL accounts.
• Participate in user group meetings/conferences.
• Additional administrative assistance on an as needed basis.
• Other projects as assigned by Director of Finance and/or CFO.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or similar field, preferred or 1-2 years related experience in lieu of education.
• Unquestionable ethics and integrity - ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and possess strong Excel skills (i.e. VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
• Experience with Epicor (or similar ERP) preferred.
• Demonstrated attention to detail required along with high degree of resourcefulness.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
