DescriptionJob Title: On Call Support Staff
FSLA Classification: Non-Exempt
FTE: On-call as needed. Applicants will be contacted as vacancies occur.
Purpose Of PositionSupport the mission of Sponsors by assisting individuals released from Oregon state correctional facilities and the Lane County Adult Corrections in making a successful re-entry into our community. Sponsors is nationally recognized as a model utilizing best practices in re-entry services.
Reports ToThis position reports directly to the Transitions Program Supervisor.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNo staff supervisory responsibilities
Primary ObjectiveCampus and participant safety and operational maintenance tasks
ResponsibilitiesWork independently as part of a larger team to actively participate in the coordination of program operations
  • Monitor common areas to ensure the safety, security, and cleanliness of the facility.
  • Conduct scheduled urinalysis (UA) tests and random UAs as circumstances may require.
  • Receive and route calls, faxes, and walk-in program visitors.
  • Ensure any relevant information is documented and communicated directly to case management staff and/or the program director as appropriate.
  • Tidy offices and empty waste/recycling receptacles nightly.
  • Ensure mail has been sorted and date-marked as necessary.
  • Complete food inventory as assigned and ensure participant food boxes are delivered in a timely manner.
Provide direct services to program participant
  • Regularly interact with each program participant in a professional manner, modeling appropriate boundaries and respect for all participants and staff.
  • Direct any participant questions about rules to case management staff.
  • Provide support and assistance to participants as needed, and in collaboration with case management staff.
  • Other Duties as Assigned
RequirementsSkills and Knowledge:
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Will work nights/weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of general safety procedures
  • Dependable and responsive to available on-call hours
  • Preferred experience in a social advocacy role
Education And Experience
  • High school equivalency
Work Environment
  • Shift assignment may require overnight facility oversight and participant interactions
  • Works at a desk in an office environment
  • moves throughout housing and buildings with stairs to check on and support participants
We have two campuses differentiated primarily by male-identifying and female-identifying participants. Physical Demands
  • Ability to carry up to 25 lbs. up and down stairs occasionally
  • Sitting at a desk for extended periods of time
  • Standing and walking inside and outside
  • Working in outdoor, indoor, and refrigerated environments, sometimes with quick changes in temperature such as while loading and unloading of climate-controlled foods into refrigerators and freezers.
  • Uses office equipment and cleaning tools.
  • Exposure to noises at typical office and community living levels.
