About us

Spokane Digestive Disease Center, a privately owned specialty practice, is a dynamic, full-service Gastroenterology practice comprised of 7 Gastroenterologists and 5 Advanced Practice Providers. We are seeking an energetic RN to join our wonderful team. Founded in 1978, our practice is an independent, physician-owned practice limited to gastroenterology and endoscopic procedures. The main clinic and ambulatory surgery center are located in the Sacred Heart Doctor’s Building. We are an independent practice who love what we do and want someone who will take great care of our patients!

Summary:

This position entails preparing patients physically and emotionally for various endoscopic procedures, as well as performing and assisting in those procedures. The RN applies the nursing process of assessment planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating plans of care for assigned patients. He/she is responsible for following established standards of professional nursing practice as delineated by Spokane Digestive Disease Center, providing leadership by working in a collaborative fashion with ancillary nursing personnel, and promoting teamwork with all members of the health care team.

Minimum qualifications:

· Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Washington.

· ACLS certification required.

· Acceptable references from former employers.

· Requires extensive mobility (walking, standing, bending, pushing, and pulling.)

· Emotional demands: Demonstrate emotional stability by being able to function appropriately and effectively in dealing with critical, unexpected, or stressful situations.

· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and various other required computer programs

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

· Patient education, assessment, IV therapy, processing physician orders, monitoring patient lab values, and preparing and turning over endoscopy rooms.

· Knowledge of effective interpersonal relationships.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $37.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
