WHAT YOU’LL DO HERE //
  • Coordinate with the Management, Design Engineers, and Project Managers to determine the scope of work.
    • Provide recommendations in support of the fabrication
    • Collaborate with Design Engineers throughout prototyping and shop drawing processes.
    • Understand, review, and analyze drawings, materials, and hardware
  • Work independently and in collaboration with fabrication staff
  • Lead fabrication teams through project production cycles
    • Explain and delegate tasks to junior team members
  • Assure projects are kept on track and tasks are completed on time.
  • Manage job packets throughout the fabrication process, which includes shop drawings, BOMs, and Work orders.
    • Responsible for updating the BOM of hardware used and remaining, updating the WO with notes, keeping the job packet readily available for QC signatures
  • Research materials, hardware, finishes, methodologies
  • Cut, fit, fabricate, and finish components and complete projects
    • Maintain tools, machinery, benches, materials hardware, and workspaces in a clean and organized manner
    • Handle materials and products with care
    • Generate cut lists for fabrication of parts as needed
    • Cut, fit, fabricate, and finish components and complete projects
    • Measure with precision and layout parts for fabrication
    • Create jigs and fixtures for the safe and effective production of parts
    • Set up and operate stationary and handheld power tools in a safe manner
    • Prototyping and proofing concepts and methodologies
    • Develop material take-offs, hardware, and finish schedules in support of purchasing for fabrication
  • Conduct site surveys to gather information relevant and essential to logistics, fitment, and installation of projects
  • Lead installations as required
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff
  • Plan work for safe and efficient execution with consideration of logistics and order of operations.
  • Comply with all safety protocols, attend and participate in safety meetings, attend safety training, and observe and report unsafe conditions and practices to your supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively with appropriate manager(s) to update the progress of jobs/tasks through designated systems.
  • Responsible for clocking in and out via the timekeeping system and following all policies, including Meal and Rest Breaks and Approved Overtime
  • Responsible for logging all Project hours daily, per company policy
  • Punctuality, reliability, and polite professionalism are expected.

REQUIREMENTS //

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in millwork, cabinetry, and woodworking.
    • Millwork produces custom-made interior and architectural woodwork, such as doors, window casings, trim, molding, and built-in furniture.
    • Cabinetry involves designing, constructing, and installing cabinets for kitchens, bathrooms, and storage areas.
    • Woodworking encompasses various skills and techniques for creating wooden objects and structures, including furniture, decorative items, and construction components.
    • The candidate should have extensive hands-on experience in these areas and demonstrate proficiency in various woodworking techniques, tools, and machinery.
