Job Description
SPLENDOOR IN HOME CARE LLC, is a Staffing Service that Includes any professional support services that allows a person to live in the comfort of their Home. Splendoor In Home Care services can help someone who is aging and needs assistance to live independently.
We are looking for a compassionate Home Care Aide to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in clients homes in accordance with an established care plan. To be assigned in Los Angeles County or nearby cities.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living including bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the individual service plan.
Allows and encourages clients to do as much of their own care as possible.
Serves meals to clients and may assist in preparing meals following a pre-planned menu.
Encourages clients to eat a proper diet and take adequate fluids while respecting the clients’ rights to free choice and records and reports changes in clients eating habits to the Care Manager.
Initiates and participates in leisure activities provided for clients and encourages clients to socialize.
Maintain clients' records daily in a timely manner and follow Splendoor In-Home Care LLC policy and procedures.
Documents medications distribution as applicable, leisure activities, incidents, and observations reports any changes in clients physical condition and/or behavior.
Observe and report the client's health and emotional condition and promptly report all changes to Care Manager and client’s guardian.
Assist client with Medication Reminders.
Maintain a clean safe and orderly environment for the client, perform light housekeeping.
May be assigned to transport and accompany patients to doctors office or to hospital.
Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support.
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
Proven working experience as licensed Home Health Aide
Current CPR certificate
No criminal record. All convictions other than minor traffic violations require an exemption, and this includes misdemeanors, felonies and convictions that occurred a long time ago.
Ability to monitor vital signs and collect specimens
Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
Proficiency in English
Nursing and health care administration skills
Caring and compassionate personality
First Aid training
Valid driver’s license
High school degree
