Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with dogs and providing top-notch grooming services to dogs.

Responsibilities:

• Mastery of and ability to perform grooming services mostly styling dogs' coats; will mostly have bathers' assistance, but should be accustomed to providing other services such as bathing, brushing, trimming nails, cleaning ears, etc.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each dog during grooming procedures
• Communicate effectively with dog owners to understand their grooming preferences
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area
• Handle pets with care and compassion throughout the grooming process
• Must meet state age requirements to work
• Must be able to lift 40lbs unassisted
• Willing to work in a humid environment
• Follow all safety procedures and company's standards of quality
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Function as part of a team
• Ability to use POS computer system

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years minimum of previous experience as a Dog Groomer is required
• Knowledge of various grooming techniques and styles for different breeds of dogs
• Ability to handle dogs gently and patiently, especially those that may be anxious or aggressive
• Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with dog owners
• Certification in dog grooming and familiarity with basic veterinary care practices are beneficial, but not required
