Spiro is hiring a Production Assistant Foreman to join our production team. The PRODUCTION ASSISTANT FOREMAN position works in partnership with the Production Foreman to deliver a best-in-class product. The PRODUCTION ASSISTANT FOREMAN will assist with and support all aspects of production and refurbishment projects. This position focuses on the leadership, planning and execution of carpentry projects in the fast-paced environment of a trade show exhibit house, where deadlines cannot be missed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing & leading the production team
• Assist with planning & organizing workflow through departments
• Attend project meetings & collaborate with project management
• Assist with crew discipline as relates to company policies & procedures
• Assist with communicating schedules, policies & company announcements
• Assist in the hiring process of new crew members
• Coordinate procurement of shop supplies & raw material inventory
• Oversee quality control, ensuring company standards are met
• Maintain a clean workspace & follow company safety guidelines

• Proven ability to supervise, mentor & lead a team
• Proven carpentry knowledge, ability & experience
• Strong computer & organizational skills
• Manual dexterity, mechanically inclined
• Proven experience with power tools & woodworking machinery
• Physically able to stand & lift as required for job
• Ability to communicate openly, honestly & constructively

Work Environment

This position reports to the Production Foreman. It focuses primarily on carpentry work in the fast-paced environment of a trade show exhibit house where deadlines cannot be missed. The candidate is expected to follow all company policies and safety guidelines while upholding the quality standards of the company.
