Location: Nellis, AFB Nevada
Required Experience:
Overseeing data collection and management programs for all phases of data collection, reduction, analysis, and storage. Managing data governance processes and executing authority and control over the management of EW assessment data. Implementing policies for data management;
Developing and enforcing strategies and policies regarding data collection, analysis, and dissemination of observation, system, and classified data;
Designing data handling and analysis procedures Establishing business rules and procedures for data sharing;
Designing, developing, and directing data management inputs for electromagnetic warfare plans. Analyzing and determining the feasibility and viability of advanced analytic approaches and/or methodologies;
Determining feasibility of assessment data collection;
Overseeing the development of data collection plans, assumptions, and associated measures of effectiveness and/or performance;
Supporting event data reduction and data analysis. Planning, managing, and controlling procedures for the storage, maintenance, coordination, exchange, and quality control of assessment data;
Ensuring data is available for analysis in a timely manner to meet all timelines. Determining data accessibility and releasability. Managing data inventory and storage;
Establishing, communicating, and coordinating data management system support requirements; and
At least three (3) years of demonstrated relevant experience.
Desired Experience:
Managing acceptance and dissemination of incoming data files determining proper storage and system classification requirements;
Leading and directing others in the use of data collection, management through continual training, upkeep, and troubleshooting;
Collaborating with counterparts at venues, participating units, and exercise planning conferences to ensure approvals and methodologies are in place to enable efficient, timely, and secure data collection, transfer, and storage;
Coordinating with event/host units to secure facilities and resources in support of data collection and storage efforts. Coordinating with participating units to develop approved data collection procedures;
Advocating to obtain, purchase, and/or prepare hardware, software, and supplies to support data collection efforts. Resolving any security issues related to data collection, transfer, and storage; and
Partnering with IT functional managers, database managers, and/or programmers to develop tool recommendations for use with data reduction, organization, and cataloging initiatives.
Duties Include:
Provides technical guidance, advisory support, and assistance on projects and/or phases for varied operations as it relates to data management processes and procedures;
Attends meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to data management program planning, technologies, and support system concepts;
Prepares and presents briefings and makes presentations on the data management program, progress, and results; and
Prepares technical reports and/or documents as needed.
