SPINE is Hiring a Business/Office Manager Near Darien, CT

Job description

SPINE is a business-to-business marketing communications agency seeking a part-time (20-30 hours) Office Manager to assist with finances, human resources, and daily operations. Ideal candidate is technically savvy, has 4-5 years of business experience, can create budgets and develop basic financial models, and understands how to support a remote creative agency. Candidates with Advertising or Marketing agency experience to the front of the line.

To succeed in this role, you need both hard and soft skills. You must be financially savvy and able to navigate QuickBooks desktop and pickup project management software with ease. You’ll also need strong leadership and organizational skills, as this position is responsible for helping nurture talent and enforce policies. Position requires commuting to Darien, CT.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own the financial duties such as payroll ADP management, logging expenses, handling receivables, generating customer invoices, generating reports, and end-of-year tax prep.
  • Prepare monthly reports for management indicating budget vs. actual
  • Show great care for our exceptional team
  • Internal communications with the team - holidays, birthdays, PTO requests
  • Maintain an environment of respect and learning
  • Occasional recruiting/coordination
  • Coordinate with our vendors including discrepancies, questions and negotiations
  • Ensure adherence to office policies
  • Provide miscellaneous project support to team members
  • Provide administrative support to management

Skills & Experience

  • Must be experienced with remote teams
  • High level of emotional intelligence and empathy
  • Must be proficient with QuickBooks desktop, Microsoft Office suite, Google Apps
  • Experience with project management software a plus (eg, ClickUp, Harvest, FunctionPoint)
  • Must be organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
  • Bonus Skills

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
