The sales associate is responsible for selling our products and services while also taking great care of our customers.

Responsibilities include promoting sales, dealing with customer inquiries, merchandising, and maintaining the store cleanliness, products, signage, and displays as well as monitoring the different equipment functionality.

Sales associates are the public face of SPIN Car Wash and a very important part of our customer experience. They should be dedicated to providing a high-quality experience for customers; greeting them on arrival, assisting them with purchases, returns, refunds, and resolving complaints while procuring sales quotas achievement.

The best sales associate has a combination of empathy and tact needed to turn frustrated customers into happy customers while following company policies. The ideal candidate will also be proactive about learning, continuously updating their knowledge of company products, services, and policies.

Sales Associate Job Duties

• Greet customers and explain services in a professional manner
• Assist customers in the store and on the phone
• Respond to questions, direct customers towards our Best Washes, and provide excellent customer service
• Educate customers about current promotions
• Upselling single packages.
• Explain our Unlimited Wash Membership options to all our customers
• Maintain superior knowledge of products and services
• Responsible for team's daily sales goals
• Monitor inventory levels
• Monitor Equipment status
• Maintain store sales at the projected %
• Operate cash registers, take payments, and issue receipts
• Safely guide customers onto wash conveyor and prep vehicle before washing
• Meticulously clean facility to include pressure washing, window washing, landscape maintenance and trash removal
• Maintain cleanliness of entire property including areas such as landscaping, parking lot, bathrooms, tunnel & office
• Provide customers with an enthusiastic and friendly experience
• Work is performed outside and requires standing and moving for the duration of the shift
• Duties are performed outdoors and exposed to weather conditions
• Must be willing to work weekends
• Work as part of team
• Duties require general physical activities

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Strong persuasive and negotiation abilities
• Knowledge of car wash services and automotive products is a plus.
• Previous sales or customer service experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency to read, write, and effectively communicate with customers, coworkers, and management
• Available to work a variety of hours (may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts)
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take independent initiative without direct supervision
• Basic math proficiency
• Physically able to move, stand, reach, and grab for 6 consecutive hours or more (may occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb ladders)
• High attention to detail
• Demonstrated selling skills
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance
• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to store management.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Position Type: Part-Time, Full-time
• Average Hours: Between 30-40 hours per week
• Hourly Wage: $13 - $15/hr. Commission
• Commission-based earnings.
