- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for various spices, identifying and evaluating potential suppliers globally.
- Negotiate and secure contracts with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, favorable terms, and consistent quality.
- Manage supplier relationships, building trust and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Monitor market trends, analyzing pricing fluctuations and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
- Oversee the purchasing process, ensuring compliance with all import/export regulations and company policies.
- Manage purchase orders, invoices, and other procurement documentation.
- Work closely with sales, logistics, and quality control teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in spice procurement.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, ideally within the food and beverage industry or specifically with spices.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing supplier contracts.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations and import/export procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and relevant purchasing software.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
