The basic functions of Estimator / Designer are to project the anticipated costs of each project quoted in order to derive a selling price and to provide standards for the shop and field crews and to prepare an overall schedule that will ensure on-time completion of each job. Utilize Solid Works CAD program to assist customers with developing their project ideas to prepare drawings for use in fabrication of quoted items.

Responsibilities

• Project the anticipated costs of each project quoted in order to derive a selling price and to provide standards for the shop and field crews and to prepare an overall schedule that will ensure on-time completion of each job.
• Utilize Solid Works CAD program to assist customers with developing their project ideas to prepare drawings for use in fabrication of quoted items.

Must haves:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fabrication knowledge
• SolidWorks CAD program experience.
• Related industry experience.
• Solid background supporting diverse manufacturing, fixture design and project costing.

Nice to have

• BS or trade related education
• Minimum of three years estimating and design experience in a similar environment.
• Machine tool experience with laser, plasma, press brake, tube bending and welding background.
