Machine Operator - (1st shift position)
Ensure the successful production of plastic materials through preventative maintenance, running the machines and equipment at optimum performance levels. Provide quality assurance for finished goods, productivity/manufacturing considerations for efficient throughput.
Enforcing all policies and procedures (safety and company)
Troubleshooting equipment
Verify quality of product
Following the Process Control Parameters
Complete completion and accuracy of all required reports
Maintain clean and safe work environment
Housekeeping (sweeping, cleaning, wipe-downs, garbage)
Minor repair or replacement of parts as needed during shift to maintain proper specification of manufactured parts
Complete reports relating to production and machine performance, including all down time giving explanation
Promote a safe working environment
Produce finished goods that meet or exceed our customers’ requirements and specifications, and to produce these finished goods at optimum cycle times for efficient throughput
Provide information for shift notes, problems encountered, corrective actions taken, machine setting readings all on provided forms
Acquire the skills and knowledge to efficiently operate, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the manufacturing equipment
Machine adjustments.
Start/shut down machines.
Ensure that scrap is minimized through process enhancements.
Checks safety devices before starting the machine Monitor and adjust equipment for quality production.
Assist mixer, pallet prep and packaging employees when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
