Spero is Hiring a Network Specialist Near Lewisville, TX

Our growing organization is currently seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Network Engineer to join our team. This dual-role position will require the successful candidate to provide network support for both our internal organization and our external customers. We are looking for someone who is coachable, able to communicate effectively with customers, and has experience with a range of networking technologies, including Cisco products.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide network support for the internal organization and our enterprise and business customers
  • Configure and maintain LAN/WAN, SD-LAN, and firewall systems, including Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto devices
  • Manage a Palo Alto (Pan) firewall or any enterprise firewall with strong networking fundamentals
  • Set up and deploy DMZ for enhanced network security, with a focus on Cisco, Fortinet, and/or Palo Alto experience
  • Work with industrial networking technologies for water and wastewater facilities
  • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of fiber networking, ethernet, and copper cabling solutions
  • Comfortable working with fiber technologies and customer-facing responsibilities
  • Apply strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts for troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Travel to local sites in the DFW area for troubleshooting and support
  • Respond to troubleshooting calls and provide timely solutions to network issues
  • Collaborate with the team to improve existing network infrastructure and processes
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both in writing and in assessing customer needs
Requirements:
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in network engineering or a related field
  • CCNA certification is a plus, or experience working in a CCNA environment
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN, SD-LAN, and firewall technologies, including Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto products
  • Experience with industrial networking and fiber technologies is a plus
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel within the DFW area for on-site support
