Speedy CPS is Hiring an Equipment Operator and Graphics Installer in Large Format Area Near Idaho Falls, ID

Operates equipment and machinery used for processes such as packaging, bindery, finishing and print production not requiring highly specialized training or certifications. May do setups, adjustments and cleanups. At higher levels may include equipment with multiple inline processes. Operates equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines. Reads and interprets work orders, blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, within quality guidelines and in a timely fashion. High school diploma or its equivalent preferred. May have to complete formal training in area of specialty with no to minimal prior experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.

Internal Description

Assigned to specific equipment and crossed trained on equipment in other areas of the operation as needed. Role will include setting up equipment, general maintenance, and meeting production standards related to output and quality. Will run a variety of equipment to produce large graphics on different substrates. May help with basic installs at customer location and development opportunities are available for vehicle wraps, and regularly part of the install team.

Responsibilities

  • Set up machines and equipment before production runs, ensuring that they are calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Monitor machines during production runs, checking for any issues or malfunctions and adjusting as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with machines and equipment and make repairs or escalate issues as necessary.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and other workers.
  • Follow production schedules and workflows to ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Record production data and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, quality control, and production management, to ensure that products meet customer and industry standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve machine operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Assist the install process and be willing to cross train in a variety of tasks that are part of install projects.
  • Participate in training and development programs to improve their skills and knowledge of machines and equipment.
  • Perform primary task as well as other tasks assigned as business requires.

  • Hourly Pay - $14-20 per hour depending on specific print experience, specific large format and/or graphic installation experience.

    • 8am-5pm Monday through Friday
