Speed of Light X-Ray is looking to add a Medical Insurance Collection Specialist to our Tyler office. The Collection Specialist will make phone calls to collect payments on invoices, and any outstanding balances across the board. Our ideal candidate MUST have previous collections experience.

Collections Process:

• Update spread sheets daily
• Daily phone calls to patients, insurance companies, facilities to collect unpaid balances
• Participates in educational opportunities to update knowledge of position held
• Follow quota goals daily
• Set up payment plans to collect unpaid balances
• Review patient accounts to determine appropriate follow up action for payment completion

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Some Medical & Billing terminology
• ONE year experience, and previous medical collections history
• Must have knowledge of Excel, Word, and excellent computer skills
• Organization, Attention to detail, HIPPA, Documentation skills are highly essential for this position
• Willing to meet deadlines with the highest level of accuracy
• Excellent customer service and phone skills
