Speech Connections is an established private practice that provides top quality, caring and personalized speech-language pathology, applied behavior analysis and psychological services to infants and children. We currently have physical offices located in Spring Lake, Fayetteville, Raeford, Pinehurst and Greensboro, North Carolina and are looking for you to join our self motivated, hard-working, adaptable and positive team.

We are Seeking an Enrichment Program Teacher/Clinical Specialist to join our Team in Fayetteville!

The Enrichment Program Teacher/Clinical Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the implementation of day-to-day classroom activities and supporting behavior technicians with maladaptive behaviors if necessary. The ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, organized, and they are excited to join a passionate team of professionals working with children with autism to help them lead happier, healthier, and more productive lives!

Roles and Responsibilities:

The role of the Enrichment Program Teacher/Clinical Specialist is to manage the enrichment program day-to-day classroom activities. As a Clinical Specialist, this role ensures that the day-to-day operations are functioning effectively and efficiently and that technicians are supported in their roles. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their enrichment classroom Provide basic needs for children
  • Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
  • Manage enrichment classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and meals
  • Track children's' progress and report to parents
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom Help children reach developmental milestones
  • Collaborate with others to implement lesson plans
  • Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times
  • Maintain inventory system for classroom materials and supplies
  • Facilitate various activities for children including songs, games and storytelling
  • Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures
  • Open and close the clinic/enrichment center
  • Greet all staff and clients being dropped off
  • Assist technicians in clinic with maladaptive behaviors
  • Keep resource room clean and organized
  • Clean up office and sanitize office daily
  • Provide bathroom and supportive breaks to technicians
  • Maintain office supplies and submit PO for needed supplies
  • Conduct CPI training to staff
  • Create all material requested by company supervisors
  • Provided short 1:1 ( 30min or less) as needed
  • Assist technicians with incident report and submit to Human Resources
  • Assist with pick up drop off process
  • Assist as needed with in clinic on hand tech training
  • Perform RBT duties on an as needed basis
  • Perform other duties as neededSkills and Qualifications:
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma - Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. (Experience in Education, Child Development, Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis preferred)
  • Certification: Registered Behavior Technician
  • Experience working with children and/or individuals with specials needs ·
  • Maintenance of current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for Healthcare ·
  • Educated and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information
  • Complies with Infection Control, Standard Precautions, and OSHA standards for healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work within the role effectively independently and with other team members
  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
  • Must be able to pass a federal, state and county background check.
  • Be available Monday through Friday
  • Reliable transportation
  • Sound technical and computer skills and reliable internet access.
  • Maintain CPR/ First Aid Certification
