SPECTRUM PLASTICS MASTER is Hiring a Training Cell Coordinator Near Sandy, UT

Position Objective:

The primary objective of the Training Cell Coordinator is to coordinate the physical aspects of training through a designated schedule of all hands-on training requirements for the clean room, supporting areas and personnel. This position will oversee the catheter process trainers and facilitate a training program to include retraining activities, process changes requiring training updates, and collaborate with site leadership to create a new hire certification program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example in strictly adhering to Safety Absolutes and plant safety policies.
  • Foster effective cross-functional collaboration by working closely with site leadership and various departments.
  • Design, develop, and refine training programs for catheter processes in line with departmental/organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Train and develop new hires in all standard operating procedures (SOPs) relating to catheter processes.
  • Further train and develop existing employees that may require further development of learned processes.
  • Supervise a team of Catheter Process Trainers, ensuring smooth operation and coordination within the training cell.
  • Ensure high standards of training quality by monitoring trainer performance, providing feedback, and offering guidance, support, and mentorship to facilitate their professional growth and success in delivering effective training.
  • Organize and conduct train-the-trainer sessions to enhance the capabilities of Catheter Process Trainers and ensure consistency in training.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure that training materials and processes aling with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Foster and maintain a culture focused on safety & health, respect for people, highest ethical behavior, and protecting the planet.
  • Comply with FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), manufacturing procedures, and company practices and policies.
  • Coordinate / organize training activities to meet manufacturing demand and quality requirements.
  • Complete required documentation to ensure accurate training records exist and are up to date. This could include the use of a software driven database in parallel with manual entries.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and continuous flow principles to optimize efficiency and productivity in the catheter manufacturing process.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence in all aspects of work and interactions with others.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and communicate in English.
  • Bi-lingual is an advantage.
  • Skilled at interpersonal awareness.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Self-directed and motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stressful situations.
  • Strong math skills in relation to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Graph comprehension is an advantage.
  • Understanding repetitive motion manufacturing, both mechanical and manual manufacturing processes, trouble shooting, minor adjustments, automation, jigs, and fixtures.
  • The ability to read / interpret and comprehend written and oral directions to include work instructions, procedures, drawings, and company policies.
  • Basic computer skills, spreadsheet data entry helpful.
  • Problem solving, develops alternative solutions to potential issues that could impact training effectiveness. Takes the initiative and works through job completion.
  • Must be well versed in project planning and schedule attainment. Adaptable, flexible, and highly organized and very dependable. Willing to work off shift hours as demand dictates.

  • Equipment knowledge- Equipment, not limited to the following grouping: scopes, bonders, hot boxes, braiders, hand tools, sharps, packaging aids, label printers, tippers, coilers, wrenches, screw drivers etc.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, stoop, reach overhead and use hands.
  • Continually required to talk and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
