SPECTRUM PLASTICS MASTER is Hiring a Clean Room Lead - Sandy Weekend Night Near Sandy, UT

This role will work a Weekend Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM Friday - Sunday

SUMMARY:
Coordinates and monitors the manufacturing, packaging and labeling processes used in the Clean Room to ensure employee safety as well as on-time delivery commitments can be met. Performs manufacturing build steps in multiple areas of production per documented procedures. Address machine, process or employee issues by analyzing possible causes and determine most appropriate corrective action. Provide leadership and training to other production operators and provide R&D assistance as needed.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Performs multiple assembly tasks within production manufacturing operations and include tasks such as non-routine and non-repetitive production mechanical, assembly; quality assurance, inventory tracking preparation of shipments.
2. Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
3. Review and complete production traceability forms.
4. Performs at a high level of quality and productivity.
5. Practices proper clean room environment standards.
6. Maintains an in-depth understanding of all production processes in their team, and regularly audits compliance to all procedures.
7. Ensures each and every operator is maintaining the safety requirements.
8. Actively promote and drive a culture of safety
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Must be able to be cross trained at multiple processes.
  • Must pass all job-specific or specialized certification programs required for core tasks or specialized assignments.
  • Identifies continuous improvement ideas to improve product quality, yields and productivity.
  • Assist in developing written manufacturing processes with safety and quality in mind.
  • Properly train other personnel on manufacturing processes, following writing procedures and use.
  • Completes inventory tracking on a weekly basic.
  • Scans documents once the documents have been verified.
  • Ensures material is in place for production events.
  • When necessary, provides feedback to and assists other operators to ensure a high level of team productivity, quality and yields in their work area.
  • Gives work direction to the teams with in the Cleanroom.
  • Analyze the production resources to select the best way to meet production plan. Determine whether overtime or other resources may be necessary.
  • When issues arise, take the appropriate action using sound judgment to decide when and how to resolve them.
  • Notify production manager of any people, material, process and scheduling issues that need higher level resolution.
  • Provide timely status reports on schedule adherence/yields/material issues/equipment issues/unplanned downtime.
  • Properly train other personnel on manufacturing processes and following writing procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with employees, peers and managers within SPG.
  • Interface with other departments as necessary to ensure a high level of professionalism through effective communication.
  • Assigns housekeeping duties and production assignments.
  • Enter shift labor reporting.
  • Prints customer labels as needed.
  • Ensures line clearance activities are taking place.
  • Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES (Manager, Supervisor, Lead):
Lead
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
  • 2 years experience in medical device manufacturing or equivalent experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience in a clean room manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with a team.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to read, understand, and carry out detailed written and verbal work instructions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to handle small parts or packaging components, in some cases with the use of a tweezers and microscope.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include inspecting through a microscope.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and heat.
