Development Coordinator

Spectrum of Solutions is searching for a motivated and goal-oriented Development Coordinator to join our highly respected team in the Permian Basin (Midland and Odessa) area. In this position you will play an essential role in contributing to the organization’s sustainability and growth by supporting the Development Department through fundraising endeavors and volunteer opportunity coordination while promoting our mission within the community.
- Conducts research and identifies additional funding sources and volunteer resources for the organization.
- Participates in development by establishing and maintaining relationships with the community.
- Work in tandem with the Director of Marketing & Development as fundraising liaisons.
- Participate in the management of a development program that includes a variety of giving programs for donors and prospective donors and addresses all components of the strategic plan adopted by the Board of Directors.
- Assist in the develop calendars and action plans for each annual fundraising event, sponsorship and underwriting programs, grants, and special events.
- Maintain a foundation support strategy, including maintaining relationships, and keeping requirements up-to-date with local and statewide foundations and corporations.
- Research marketing data for implementation of marketing strategies and content.
- Assist in the develop of relevant, engaging social media content.
- Oversee the volunteer committee and the various volunteer efforts and opportunities.
- Assist in implementing effective volunteer recruitment and engagement strategies.
- Lead volunteer recruitment and processing efforts to ensure the best volunteer match for key campaigns and maximize the number of personal contacts.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, or related field preferred or equivalent experience
- Experience with broad-based fund development preferred
- Knowledge of community resources available in West Texas
