Spectraforce Technologies is Hiring a Maintenance Mechanic Near North Chicago, IL
Duration - 06 Months
Location - North Chicago, IL (60045)
Shift Schedule
4x12 rotating schedule, 6 am - 630pm (shift over one day each week)
Roles and responsibility
* Adhere to the Client's code of conduct and safety policies
* Assists in root cause investigation and reliability-cantered maintenance analysis
* Capable of training others on tasks
* Intermediate Computer skills (MS Office)
* Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced-level tasks
* Assist Cross-functional Teams outside of the maintenance organization
* Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site
* Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations
* Maintains the function of department assets to ensure production goals and quality standards are met
* Independently performs senior-level maintenance work including but not limited to; machine lubrication, inspection, troubleshooting, ordering & installation of parts repair, and fabrication
* Performs Preventative Maintenance on all plant equipment including air handlers, and utility distribution equipment located throughout the plant. Will perform precise maintenance where applicable
* Performs light machining work on machine lathes, milling machines, etc. to make basic shafts, cut keyways, etc.
* Work as a multi-skilled tradesperson, doing electrical, pipefitting, building maintenance, and/or other work on special assignments as requested by management
* Assists/participates during Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis
* Accurately documents all maintenance activity in CMMS
* Assists in ensuring that GXP and safe work policies and procedures are followed and maintained at all times by established company policies.
* Lifting to 50lbs
Experience and Education
* Associate degree, college certificate, or formal apprenticeship and 5 years of work experience related to any of the following: mechanical trades, electrical up to 13kv, PLC/Controls, Instrumentation, welding, machining, fabrication.
Top required skills
* Must demonstrate proficiency in multiple skilled trade disciplines as defined by the department skills matrix including Predictive Maintenance Technologies
* Knowledge and ability to apply proper hand tools in an industrial setting
* Knowledge of related cGMP requirements and applicable safety regulations
* Knowledge and ability to use power tools (such as electric drills, drill press, saws, grinders, pneumatic and hydraulic tools)
* Ability to accurately use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, scales)
* Intermediate computer skills (MS Suite)
* Solid written and verbal communication skills

* PDM/Reliability

* Both Individual and group
* Chemical Process plant (depends on the building location they are in.
o PPE - Steel toe shoes. Everything else provided by Client
