I&C Engineer
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to control systems engineering design. Ability to work in a collaborative team oriented, procedure-based engineering culture.
Responsibilities:
* Plan,organize,andcoordinateI&Cengineeringandmulti-disciplinedteam/designprojectswhileengagedintheplanning,design,andconstructionphasesofengineeringprojects.
* Perform a broad range of I&C design activities, including design definition, control systemsarchitecture and development, digital systems, PLC, DCS, network configuration, logicdevelopment,networkswitches,processcontrols,P&IDdevelopmentsupportandreview,HMI,communicationprotocols,routing, and layout, SIL, andprocurementactivities.
* Prepareandmodifyinstrument and control systemsdesigndocuments(e.g., instrument datasheets, Input/Output wiring diagrams,schematics,panel layouts, logic diagrams, cable schedules, and instrument installation details).
* ProperlyinterpretandapplyNational,State,andLocalcodesandstandards,andcustomerdesign requirements for the preparation of control systems design/construction documents,specifications,andsystemdescriptionsrelatedto assigned tasks.
* Support engineering cost and schedules estimates.
* Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, andspecifications.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor of Science in Control Systems, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or similar accredited engineering B.S.withaminimumof5years'experience(nuclearpreferred)indesign,estimating,specification preparation,constructiondocumentpreparation,andrelatedphasesofengineering.
* Familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, or SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) a plus .

* Engage with other discipline leaders and management to develop and direct the work.
* Prepareengineeringcostandscheduleestimates.
* Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications.
EducationandExperience:
* Bachelor of Science in Control Systems, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or similar accreditedengineering B.S.with a minimum of 15 years' experience (nuclear preferred) indesign,estimating,specificationpreparation,constructiondocumentpreparation,and related phases of engineering.Professional Engineer License preferred but notrequired.
* Able to organize and independently work and check the work of others.
* Familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, or SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) a plus .
* Planning, scheduling, and status reporting skills a must.
