Position Overview: As an Optician at Spectocular, you will be instrumental in providing personalized optical care. You will utilize your expertise in opticianry to assist patients in selecting and fitting eyewear that meets their individual needs, ensuring both comfort and style. This role is ideal for passionate individuals who are eager to make a significant impact in the lives of their patients.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations within the optical department, including order placements, inventory management, and frame organization.
• Enhance patient satisfaction by assisting with the selection and adjustment of eyewear.
• Ensure the accuracy and timely processing of orders, and troubleshoot any issues related to visual acuity adjustments.
• Maintain meticulous patient records in compliance with all legal and regulatory standards, including HIPAA.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to collective goals.
• Provide general office support, handle scheduling, and manage communications with vendors.

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience in private practice (preferred).
• ABO Certification (preferred).
• Knowledge of vision insurance coding for frame and lenses (e.g. VSP, EyeMed, etc)

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
• Wednesday and the first and third Saturday of every month: 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM
• Thursday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
