specialty rx is Hiring a Pharmacist In Charge Near Elizabethtown, KY
SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long term care facilities and assisted living communities. SpecialtyRx takes pride in delivering personalized care and quality pharmacy services.
The Pharmacist In Charge will ensure the adherence of the pharmacy procedures and SOPs. In accordance with company laws, state and federal regulations. The Pharmacist In Charge will ensure regulations are correct and safe supply of medical products to the client facilities, under the general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy Operations.
NOTICE: SpecialtyRx is seeking Pharmacist In Charge for our new location: 3019 Ring Road, Ste 102 Elizabethtown, KY 42701
Pharmacist In Charge Responsibilities:
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions and proper administration
- Maintain dispense medications are correctly supplied and labeled
- Make recommendations for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff, if necessary
- Maintain customers’ database including but not limited to medical history, clinical, laboratory data, etc
- Investigate and resolve medication-related queries
- Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians and other healthcare team members regarding medication-related queries
- Supervise the preparation of any medicines
- Maintain a register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposes
- Maintain proper security conditions for medications
- Perform “on-call” duties when required
Pharmacist In Charge Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in the State of KY
- 5-10 years of experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or other medical fields
- Long Term Care experience preferred
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer skills
