Pharmacist - Central Fill Pharmacy
Specialty Medical Staffing has an exciting new direct hire opportunity for a Pharmacist in Fort Wayne, IN! Key Responsibilities:
Collaboration: Foster strong communication and collaboration with the pharmacy leadership team. Engage pharmacists and technicians to understand the Central Fill model and its impact on operations at the retail pharmacies.
Technology Integration: Work closely with IT teams to integrate automation and software solutions for prescription processing, shipping, and tracking.
Central Fill Pharmacy Development: Facilitate the development of the Central Fill Pharmacy, including layout, technology, and workflows.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all operations meet or exceed regulatory and compliance requirements, including state and federal laws, DEA regulations, and pharmacy standards at the Central Fill Pharmacy and any impact on the existing retail pharmacies.
Workflow Optimization: Develop efficient prescription processing workflows to minimize turnaround times and maximize prescription accuracy.
Training: Create a training plan for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians that will support the central fill operation and changes to existing retail pharmacies.
Quality Assurance: Establish quality assurance and control processes to ensure accurate prescription dispensing and patient safety.
Inventory Management: Assist in planning for inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock levels for the central fill pharmacy.
Qualifications:
Minimum two years of experience and significant technology competencies. Experience with bubble packing/adherence packaging and medication synchronization is preferred. B. S. degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy; Pharm. D. degree and/or PGY1Residency preferred. Must be eligible for or hold a valid and current license as a Registered Pharmacist from the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy. If eligible must obtain Indiana licensure within 180 days. Additional certifications may be required for specified areas. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.Does this sound like something you would be interested in? If so, apply now!
