DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY

We are searching for a Controller to join the team of a company in Dexter, MI. This is a long-term opportunity within a company that offers career growth and advancement.

Position: Controller

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Onsite

Compensation: Up to $140,000

About the Controller: The Controller will direct the financial operations of the company including budgeting, planning, and other financial matters

What You'll Do:

• Oversee employees responsible for accounting and payroll.
• Implement internal control policies and procedures for all financial activities.
• Oversee employee training programs and identifies training needs.
• Coordinate the financial planning, budgeting, and investment activities.
• Provide financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
• Oversee the preparation of periodic financial statements, activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
• Ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Responsible for risk management and loss prevention programs including property and casualty insurance, general liability insurance, workers compensation, customs and tariffs, and cash management.
• Review financial details from past, present, and forecasted operations; identifies development opportunities and improvements that can be made.
• Provide management with short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
• Conduct monthly business review meeting with Senior Management, reports to board of directors semi-annually and has significant interaction with Executive Leadership.
• Collaborate with external auditors to provide information needed for the annual audit.
• Maintain knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards.
• Responsible for annual inventory.
• Perform other related duties or projects as assigned.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
• Ten years or more of related experience required.
• Prior Experience in Manufacturing or Automotive, preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, PLEX ERP preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent and highly accurate math and accounting skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $140,000.00 per year
