Special Tree's state-of-the-art NeuroCare Campus is located on four-wooded acres in a quiet suburban community in Romulus, MI and was designed specifically to meet the needs of those with brain injury and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. With the most advanced technology and amenities available, we serve clients with active, long term, and transitional needs through full service therapy clinic, and a neuro residential program. This assignment is in our residential community program for Adult Foster Care in a small or large group setting.

As a Rehabilitation Service Technician, you are a key contributor who works in a team environment to care for patients. Provide client services for personal care, hygiene, and nutritional needs; including bathing, grooming, dressing, care of skin, teeth, hair, ears, nails, eating, toileting/elimination, and promoting self-care activities. Nursing assistants provide follow through of therapeutic and/or medical needs which may include, but are not limited to, wheelchair sitting programs, positioning, range of motion exercises, feeding plans, behavior modification plans, bowel and bladder training programs, other individual-specific programs as assigned including administration of medications, and transportation to appointments. RSTs frequently check client status, and provides shift-to-shift communication to other staff. Client care is documented in the electronic health record (Point Click Care).

Full-time opportunities available;12 hour shifts available

• Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be of good moral character and pass all background checks required under MI Public Act 28 & 29 of 2006.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Michigan drivers license and meet company-established criteria regarding driving record.
• High school diploma preferred but not required. Must be able to read and write.
