As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals with diverse needs. Duties: - Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs - Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration - Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and independence - Support individuals in developing and maintaining social skills and relationships - Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times - Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress made - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans - Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Skills: - Experience in childcare, social work, or related fields is preferred - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transporting individuals as needed - Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with individuals, families, and team members - Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, appointments, and documentation - Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies - Ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy and compassion - Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply for the position of Direct Support Professional.
