Responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules to ensure that manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Planner/Scheduler to join our team. As a Planner/Scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling production activities to ensure efficient operations. Your role will involve analyzing production data, developing production plans, and implementing process improvements to optimize productivity.

Duties:

-Track progress against the production needs and ensuring that the necessary materials and resources are available when needed.

-Responsible for forecasting future production needs and ensuring that the necessary materials and resources are available as needed.

-Monitoring production inventory levels, and regularly providing production status, updates to management, and facilitating the timely delivery of products to customers.

- Monitor the production process to ensure that production orders are complete on time.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to meet changing priorities
- Collaborate with plant management to implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials

Qualifications:
- Relevant field or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in production planning or scheduling role
- Strong knowledge of production management principles and practices
- Proficiency in using planning and scheduling software systems (ERP)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of IBM AS400 is a plus
