Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Communication Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging content, and crafting effective communication strategies. From crafting compelling emails and coordinating website updates to managing event registrations and mastering the art of text messaging, your role will be the heartbeat of our organization's communication ecosystem. Duties:

• Email Marketing: Create and distribute weekly/monthly emails for various purposes such as announcements, newsletters, service recaps, and prayer targets.
• Website and Social Media Coordination: Coordinate with the Social Media Specialist to ensure website announcement updates align with social media content.
• Follow-Up Communication: Send follow-up emails after the New Members class and other discipleship classes to provide the next steps and relevant information.
• Event Registration Management: Create registration links for ministry activities/events using a variety of platforms.
• Text Messaging Management: Send text-in-church messages and one-call now messages as necessary, including scheduling reminders for meetings, events,bible studies and other worship experiences
• Grow University Support: Create registrations for all Grow University classes and update the Grow University page as needed.
• SimpleTexting Application Management: Utilize SimpleTexting application to create autoresponders for keywords, polls, text-to-win contests, and picture messaging. Also, send targeted text messages to various subgroups for reminders, updates, and next steps.

• Marketing and Public Relations Experience: Experience in marketing or public relations will provide a solid foundation for understanding how to effectively engage and communicate with diverse audiences.
• Digital Marketing Proficiency: Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, such as email marketing software, content management systems (CMS), social media management tools, and event registration platforms, is crucial for executing communication strategies across multiple channels.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills are necessary for managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating events and communications calendars, and ensuring timely task execution.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is vital for maintaining accuracy in communication materials, managing event registrations, and ensuring consistency across various communication channels.
• Tech Savviness: Comfort with technology and quickly learning new software and tools are essential for effectively utilizing communication platforms and staying updated on industry trends.
• Customer Service Orientation: A customer-centric approach and the ability to empathize with diverse stakeholders will help you understand their needs and tailor communications accordingly.
• Creativity and Problem-Solving Skills: Creativity and thinking outside the box are valuable for developing engaging content and finding innovative solutions to communication challenges.
• Team Collaboration: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are necessary for working closely with other departments, such as social media specialists, event coordinators, and ministry leads, to ensure cohesive communication strategies.
• Experience in journalism or related field is a plus
• Knowledge of market trends and audience engagement strategies
• Experience in project management will be beneficial for effectively planning, executing, and evaluating communication initiatives, including managing timelines, budgets, and resources.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,880.00 - $47,788.00 per year
