Sparrow Texas is Hiring a Senior Accountant (Temporary). Near El Paso, TX
Sparrow Company, an executive search and staffing firm, has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant for one of our clients in El Paso, TX. This is a temporary opportunity for 3-4 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Responsible for maintaining adequate bank cash balances to meet operating cash flow requirements.
- Responsible for processing of Internal companies’ wire transfers.
- Provide guidance and direction to Accounts Payable member(s) in their daily performance of work functions.
- Complete bi-weekly payroll entries to general ledger. Emphasis on proper recording of payroll tax liabilities.
- Responsible for reconciling companies’ monthly credit card statements and proper posting to company’s general ledger. Ensure timely payment of monthly credit card balances.
- Responsible for working with supervisor on completion of reconciliations and financial reporting of other related entities.
- Responsible completing 1099s
- Responsible to work directly with payroll department to enhance communication and prepare Quarterly reports.
- Responsible for timely completion of assigned bank account reconciliations
- Responsible for timely completion and accuracy of standard monthly financial package.
- Complete timely filing of monthly sales tax report to State Comptroller’s Office.
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
- Assist in development and implementation of new accounting procedures to enhance the workflow of the accounting department.
