Summary

This role will manage the day-to-day activities in the Project Management Office, providing guidance on PMO policies and processes, overseeing project management staff, and collaborating with other department leaders to develop projects and programs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working background in Information Technology and be comfortable addressing and resolving complex problems. We are seeking someone with the ability to blend enterprise technology with timely and effective business solutions, strong leadership, communication skills, well organized and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Conducts end to end program management of one or more programs containing multiple large projects, or portfolio management of a large scope entire portfolio that are company-wide, cross functional and/or strategic in nature.
• May also manage one or more portfolios which includes identifying, prioritizing, authorizing, managing, and controlling projects, programs and other related work to achieve strategic business objectives.
• Directs cross functional teams to complete projects and program deliverables within allotted timeline and budget.
• Works with external vendors and internal stakeholders to champion project/program(s) across the entire organization.
• Develops detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
• Conducts program meetings and is responsible for program tracking and analysis.
• Ensures adherence to quality standards.
• Will manage the integration of vendor tasks, track and reviews vendor deliverables.
• Communicates to client/vendors/leadership.
• Follows proper Change Management Processes.
• Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team to ensure business goals are achieved
• Engage business stakeholders to identify and incorporate business owned project tasks and dependencies.
• Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
• Manages project budget and forecast.
• Directs and oversees project team and manages conflicts within group.
• Efficiently identifies, escalates and solves project issues.
• Demonstrates leadership.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of experience in IT and/or Telecom Industry.
• 7 to 10 years of diverse roles and increasing leadership responsibilities across major projects and programs.
• Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent required and Scrum Master Certification required.
• Program Management Professional (PGMP) Certification preferred, PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) Certification preferred, Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
• Experience managing Agile software development projects and groups.
• Experience with Data Warehouse initiatives.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Customer driven and a team player, with strong interpersonal and customer interface skills.
• Excel in communication/presentation skills, both oral and written, and tailor communication to various levels of the organization.
