At Sovereign, one of our guiding principles on every project and in every office is, “Behavior Based Safety Every Minute of Every Day” and we’re currently looking for a Safety Specialist who will support and audit our new construction-based programs and reinforce our commitment to safety. As a Safety Specialist, you will work as a Team with the Project Managers, employees, subcontractors and Director of Corporate Health and Safety. Your primary responsibilities center on the successful implementation and support of the Site-Specific Safety Plans in the field for each project. You will assist the Project Managers with the application of the client safety expectations, Sovereign Corporate Safety Manual and Safe Work Procedures, OSHA and all other laws governing the work. You will also verify to ensure that work is being executed as planned, problem-solve with operations, assist with corrective measures, and provide resources to correct and maintain solutions.
