Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is Hiring a Child and Family Services Liaison Near Evansville, IN

Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is currently seeking a full-time Liaison, Child & Family Services to add to our team of professionals. This position will provide support to internal departments including Child and Family Services, Patient Accounts, Medical Records, and Intake staff to coordinate and track referrals from the Indiana Department of Child Services and Probation.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Process referrals from the Indiana Department of Child Services and Juvenile Probation.
  • Demonstrate timely and professional communication, both electronic and verbal, with DCS Family Case Managers and Juvenile Probation Officers to obtain appropriate and required client demographic, clinical and billing information.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of DCS Service Standards, contractual agreement between the State of Indiana and Community Mental Health Centers, and services at Southwestern.
  • Maintain working knowledge of DCS Kidtraks website to obtain case information and accurately enter referral information into Electronic Medical Record in order to facilitate billing, track requested services, and monitor authorization of service units with beginning/end dates.
  • Participate in monthly meetings at DCS/Probation offices and other events as requested to facilitate interagency relationships and market services.
  • Provide ongoing communication with DCS Family Case Managers and Juvenile Probation Officers to obtain referral approval for services and provide notification of client appointment status.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with Southwestern’s Medical Records Department to ensure appropriate releases are signed, information is scanned into the medical record, and electronically send authorized client information to outside agencies within contractually mandated time frames.
  • Communicate thoroughly with Southwestern Patient Accounts Department to maximize billing, request additional referral units and create referrals in KidTraks.
  • Provide assistance with special projects as approved by the Director of Child and Family Services.

WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare office setting highly preferred.
  • Must be proficient in using a personal computer, multi-line phone system, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must display strong verbal and written communication skills, engaging interpersonal skills, good organizational and time management skills, and a positive, energetic attitude.
  • Must complete Welle training.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance that meets the State of Indiana minimum coverage requirements.
  • Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.
