Duties
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients
- Collect and update client information, including medical history and insurance details
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various procedures and treatments
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Handle financial transactions, including processing payments and managing invoices
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, appointments, and medical treatments
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Excellent organizational skills to manage appointment scheduling and client records
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion, including dog handling and animal catheterization
- Familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures is beneficial
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and equine care is a plus
- Basic understanding of laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is desirable
- Experience in pet grooming or general pet care is an asset
- Familiarity with kennel operations is beneficial
