Pharr Road Animal Hospital is Hiring a Veterinary Receptionist Near Atlanta, GA

Pharr Road Animal Hospital is a progressive full service veterinary hospital that has been providing high quality veterinary care to the greater Atlanta area since 1974. We are seeking an experienced receptionist / client service representative with a friendly, outgoing personality and strong work ethic to excel at our practice. A full time position is available for a career minded individual, who enjoys working with clients and animals.
Pharr Road Animal Hospital is a fast-paced veterinary practice so the ideal receptionist candidate must be able to stay organized and detail oriented, possess the ability to multitask, handle high call volumes (while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor), and communicate effectively with clients, doctors, and teammates. In addition to performing a variety of daily tasks, our receptionists also spend a majority of the day scheduling various types of appointments, such as annual wellness exams, illness-related exams, surgical procedures, dental cleanings, behavior / rehabilitation / laser appointments, and more!
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following duties:
  • Greeting and welcoming clients and patients
  • Appointment scheduling and overall practice scheduling management
  • Answering client questions and triaging client concerns
  • Handling phone calls from multiple phone lines consistently throughout the work day
  • Answering and fielding phone calls and emails from clients
  • Using problem-solving skills to resolve client concerns
  • Communicating with other veterinary clinics to send and / or request medical records for pets
  • Checking clients in and out / invoicing and processing payments for products and services
  • Maintaining a clean and professional work environment;
Skills & desired qualities:
  • Ability to work both individually and on a team while maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent customer service to our clients
  • An individual who is a self-starter, compassionate, calm, team player, multi-tasker, highly organized, ambitious, friendly, and hard-working
  • Offering support, empathy, and compassion when interacting with clients, especially during difficult times
  • Professional telephone etiquette and verbal communication skills
  • Computer and typing skills; *experience with Google Suite and Cornerstone veterinary practice management software is a huge plus
  • Cornerstone software and previous experience a plus
