Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Route calls efficiently.
- Greet arriving patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Register new patients or verify and update established patients’ information in the system.
- Make appointments and process cancellations according to office procedures and guidelines.
- Process patient insurance and identification paperwork.
- Collect and record co-pays and other payments at the time of service.
- Balance receipts at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Process outgoing mail, return mail and courier mail.
- Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor.
- Help to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Attend meetings as requested.
