Southwest Ohio ENT Specialists is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Dayton, OH

The Receptionist generally greets patients on the phone or in the office and guides the patient flow through the office. Duties may include patient registration or information verification, pulling patient charts, notifying medical personnel of the patient’s arrival, collecting copayments, and scheduling appointments. The Receptionist must maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor as they are in view and earshot of the patients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Route calls efficiently.
  • Greet arriving patients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Register new patients or verify and update established patients’ information in the system.
  • Make appointments and process cancellations according to office procedures and guidelines.
  • Process patient insurance and identification paperwork.
  • Collect and record co-pays and other payments at the time of service.
  • Balance receipts at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Process outgoing mail, return mail and courier mail.
  • Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor.
  • Help to maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Attend meetings as requested.
