Southwest Health and Human Services currently has an opening for an Accounting Technician in any of our 6 locations (Ivanhoe, Marshall, Redwood Falls, Pipestone, Luverne or Slayton).

Southwest Health and Human Services (SWHHS) is a multi-county agency committed to strengthening individuals, families and communities by providing quality services in a respectful, caring and cost-effective manner.

The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for assigned accounting tasks and to work cooperatively with agency accounting unit and agency staff so that needs of the agency are served. Some duties include; accounts payable, receipts, payroll, and claiming.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma, or the equivalent, and two years of experience involving a combination of office support and bookkeeping responsibilities.

Or

• Completion of college coursework, vocational school, or business school in accounting may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the experience involving a combination of office support and bookkeeping responsibilities.
