Southwest Elixirs is Hiring a Barista and Cashier Near San Antonio, TX
We are a wellness cafe elixir bar specializing in making cold-pressed juices, smoothies, coffee, and plant-based food.
We are searching for a friendly, kind, and professional barista and front of house team member to join our staff.
Pay is dependent on experience, starting at $10-$12 per hour plus tips.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver impeccable hospitality to our guests
- Be able to ‘dial in’ the espresso program daily and serve a selection of single-origin coffees in a variety of different brewing methods including, but not limited to: espresso, pour over, and cold brew.
- Stay knowledgeable about current coffee and food offerings through tastings and information provided to you by your team-leaders and teammates
- Support your team in keeping the cafe running smoothly and beautifully - these tasks may vary but can include washing dishes, clearing dishes, sweeping, dusting, mopping, cleaning and organizing supplement & service station, and taking out trash.
- Welcome customers and help determine their orders and guide them through the menu
- Become familiar with menu items so you can make suggestions and help explain benefits of different ingredients and products
- Relay customers’ orders to the kitchen staff
- Expedite kitchen orders by taking beverages and/or food to customers
- Take phone orders
- Monitor online orders
- Place to-go food orders in the appropriate bags and boxes
- Check on customers dining in to ensure great customer experience
- Respond to customer inquiries, issue receipts, and record customer suggestions
- Clean and arrange eating, service, and kitchen spaces
- Monitor bathroom cleanliness, keep toilet paper and hand soap stocked and clean bathroom when needed
- Make sure FOH items are stocked such as napkins, cutlery, straws, etc.
- Help clean FOH/cafe at end of shift
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
