Southern Tech is Hiring an Inventory Control Clerk Near Ardmore, OK

Purpose of Job: Responsible for the tracking of major inventory and the oversight of non-tagged inventory in coordination with programs/departments, maintenance and storage of District-owned furniture and equipment. Travel to all district campuses and other sites with district property will be required.

I. Major Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:

A. Essential Functions of the Job:

1. Perform physical inventory annually by scanning all tagged equipment in coordination with programs/departments and ensuring all inventory is accounted for.
2. Input and maintain major equipment within Infinite SERP software.
3. Assign, attach, and maintain inventory tags of major equipment items.
4. Coordinate with fiscal personnel regarding purchases that qualify as major equipment.
5. Coordinate delivery of furniture and inspect for quality.
6. Prepare list of surplus items for Facilities Coordinator for board approval.
7. Coordinate the auction of surplus items as approved by the board.
8. Act as a contact point for individuals who have purchased auction items.
9. Make all transfers and changes of items on inventory as required to ensure accuracy.
10. Ensure upkeep of non-tagged inventory on a continuous basis.
11. Assist in moving equipment weighing several hundred pounds by pushing and/or pulling and using a dolly, cart, assistive equipment, etc.

B. Other:

1. Perform other duties, assume responsibilities and exercise other authority as may be required or directed upon by law or the Superintendent of SouthernTech.

III. Education, Knowledge, Skill, & Experience Requirements:

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A. Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or GED required
2. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
3. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
4. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

B. Knowledge and Skills:

1. Ability to work independently, rapidly and accurately with names, numbers, codes and symbols.
2. Ability to check long technical reports for conformance.
3. Function as an effective SouthernTech team player and ability to work well with others.
4. Analytical ability to prepare reports.
5. Ability to apply procedures.
6. Ability to concentrate on details and interpret instructions, specifications.
7. Reasoning ability

IV. Physical & Mental Requirements:

A. Physical Requirements:

1. Sit, stand, walk for extended periods.
2. Manipulate computer keyboard.
3. Keen hearing: (ability to listen to others)
4. Vision: close and distance vision required.
5. Be able to communicate.
6. Be able to properly and legally operate a school vehicle as required to travel on behalf of the district.
7. Regularly lifts up to 25 lbs. (occasionally up to 50 lbs.).
8. Ability to bend and stoop.
