Southern Exteriors is a full-scale new home, commercial, and remodeling company specializing in exterior services. With over 20 years of experience, we offer a wide range of services, including siding installation, residential and commercial roofing, and more. Position Summary

The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing business operations to ensure and improve operational efficiency and profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of operations to ensure smooth progress
  • Directly oversee field managers and delegate tasks accordingly
  • Provide constructive feedback while holding the team accountable
  • Liaison between leadership and field managers to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and implement improvements as needed.
  • Oversee client support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Review KPI’s and other necessary reports
  • Manage relationships/agreements with external clients
  • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by COO

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity, previous experience in project and vendor management a plus.
  • Residential construction background helpful.
  • Organized and efficient approach to business, with professional style and communications.
  • Proficiency with modern computer systems, software, and applications.
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.

  • Communication – Conveys information, thoughts, or opinions verbally or in writing effectively; adapts information to audience and individual needs; Listens to others with the intent to understand. Responds appropriately to both written and oral directives in a timely manner.
  • Interpersonal Skills - Shows understanding, friendliness, courtesy, tact, concern, and politeness to others; effectively deals with individuals who may be difficult, hostile, or distressed. Relates well to people from varied backgrounds and different situations; is sensitive to the differences of others such as culture, race, and gender.
