Job Description:
We are seeking a full time Property Manager for our Self-Storage facility in ! This person should be energetic, self-motivated, and ready to roll up their sleeves to contribute to the success of our self-storage property. Customer service skills a must. You will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the storage facility and offering only the highest standard of customer service to both prospective and current customers. Additionally, you will be responsible to ensure safety and cleanliness of facility for customers and teammates. Storage facility office hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:30PM. This non-exempt position is 40 hours/week, including weekends. This position reports directly to the District Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
Ø Provide exceptional customer service to our current and prospective customers. Offer tours of facility to customers and show available units, offer packing materials for sale when closing contract or any additional add-ons.
Ø Open and close the storage facility office on time, efficiently and effectively.
Ø Responsible for processing customer transactions, processing payments, and making daily deposits to bank.
Ø Execute all leasing documents; maintain all required tenant documentation in an orderly manner. Including, contracts and insurance. Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Ø Control delinquencies through telephone contact and letters on a scheduled basis, including sending out monthly invoices.
Ø Assist in the preparation of units up for auction, vacate as prescribed by law, and approved by the District Manager.
Ø Ensure the cleanliness of storage premises and notify management in a timely manner regarding building and/or equipment repairs. Includes daily walk throughs, sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, changing light bulbs, and general maintenance of facility.
Job Requirements:
Ø High school degree or equivalent
Ø Minimum of 1 year of customer service, retail, hospitality, or related field
Ø Valid driver license and reliable transportation for travel to perform essential duties, such as bank runs
Ø Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including great written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Ø Proficient computer skills and knowledge
Ø Must be able to lift 50lbs, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time
Ø Willing to work in an outdoor environment
Ø Employee must pass pre-employment screening, which may include background check, MVR check, contacting references, and drug testing.
