Southern Roofing and Renovations, a dynamic and growing company that has expanded into a major player across 8 states, is now seeking a meticulous and driven Mortgage Processor to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial workflow that supports our operations and ensures our customers' satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communication: Engage in daily verbal and written interactions with homeowners and mortgage companies, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and effectiveness in all exchanges.
• Financial Processing: Take charge of posting homeowner payments to our CRM and managing invoices within QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions.
• Reconciliation and Reporting: Perform diligent reconciliation of reports and make deposits, maintaining impeccable financial records.
• Mortgage Paperwork Processing: Interpret and adhere to the unique rules and requirements of each mortgage company, dedicating 60% of your role to processing mortgage paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Proactive Follow-Up: Conduct heavy phone work, including calling mortgage companies to confirm receipt of checks and proper paperwork for processing.
• Collections Management: Handle collections tasks for aging files, including sending 30-day letters, managing lien rights, and coordinating legal actions if necessary.
• Ad Hoc Duties: Embrace other duties and projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a team-player attitude.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Four or more years of related experience and/or training in a finance-related field.
• Computer Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets. Quick adaptation to other computer applications is a must.
• Education: An Accounting degree is highly desired, showcasing a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
